Liturgical Ministries

Saint Brigid Parish is made up of many loving people who minister in the name of Jesus Christ. Their ministries are many and varied; each serves a unique and special purpose that is rooted in the Saint Brigid Parish Mission Statement. We invite you to become involved in our mission and help minister to the people of God. Altar Servers – Anyone who is in the fourth grade or older (through adults) and has a desire to assist the celebrant during Eucharistic/Liturgy on the weekend (or during the week). Parents are encouraged to serve with their child[ren] as a team.

Choir Ministry – See Music for more information.

InstrumentalistsSee Music for more information.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – People who regularly attend weekend Masses and are willing to assist in the distribution of Communion.

Hospitality –  Greeters and Ushers comprise this ministry; men, women, and young people are invited to participate.

Lay Preacher –  Parishioners who have received special training in preaching and have received permission through the Diocese of Saginaw to preach at designated liturgies.

Lay Presider – Individuals who lead the community in various prayer services throughout the liturgical year.

Lectors –  Those adults and young people who have the gift of proclaiming well God’s Word in Scripture at daily or Sunday liturgies.
